Coming from Barbastro, Huesca, DO Somontano, Laus Tinto Barrica is a blended Spanish red wine from bodega Bodega Laus.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, the grapes are sourced from estate-owned vineyards 15 to 20 years old, composed of rocky and limestone soils.
Hand-picked at their optimal ripening point, the grapes were separately fermented in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature to preserve the fruit and smoothen the tannins.
After completing malolactic fermentation, the three wines were blended and Laus Tinto Barrica 2019 was transferred into hybrid oak barrels (made with American oak staves and French oak heads) and aged for 6 months.
Finally, this red wine from Somontano was clarified by gravity before its bottling.
