Availability: In stock
Leda Viñas Viejas 2012 is a premium Tempranillo wine made from low-yielding, precious vines aged 50 to over 100 years old.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were selected according to its plot of origin and separately fermented in stainless steel tanks.
After that, the wine completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 22 months in new French oak barrels.
Leda Viñas Viejas 2012 has a remarkable ageing potential. Properly stored, it will improve in the bottle for 15 years.
Decant 1 hour before drinking.
High cherry-coloured robe with a violet rim.
Liquorice, red and black fruit, some vegetal notions, mineral undertones, a dash of cedar, leather and coffee, some balsamic notes and remembrances of undergrowth and dry earth.
Powerful and a still untamed, with plenty of room for growth. The wine, though, already gives hints of its future greatness. Rock-solid structure, very good acidity and a complex combination of liquorice, flowers, earth, mineral, spices and toast. Extremely long, compressed finish.
