Product Description

Produced in the DOQ Priorat,  Les Brugueres is a remarkably original Spanish white wine made in a land famed for its bold red wines.

A varietal White Grenache, it is made from grapes grown in a 3-hectare estate planted in 1980. The place has the typical slate (llicorella) soils which characterize the region.

After the harvest, the grapes were cold macerated for 3-4 days prior to fermentation, which took place in stainless steel tanks. Then this Priorat white wine produced by the Conreria de Scala Dei was aged for 5 months on its lees.

Finally, Les Brugueres 2019 was clarified before its bottling.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The white wine Les Brugueres has a very bright, clean straw yellow colour with some golden tinges.

Elegant notes of white flowers, aniseed, white pepper, pineapple, and bone fruit over a fresh, rich mineral background, typical of a White Grenache from Priorat.

Nicely crafted by Conreria d'Scala Dei, the wine is creamy and savoury, with a great balance and a remarkable acidity. Dry fruit, white fruit, spices, citrus, some mineral remembrances and a floral touch. Long, fruity finish with an earthy tip.

Our personal opinion

Characterful and moreish, Les Brugueres 2019 pairs excellently with cured cheeses, white meat and hearty fish dishes.

My staple Priorat white. The combination of fruit and slate I find simply intoxicating.

This is a superb white wine from a place famous for red wines. Sleek, well-structured, very gentle on the palate, with fruit, a creamy touch and some earthy sensations. Top white!!
