White Wine Les Cousins l'Antagonique 2014
Availability: Out of stock
Les Cousins l'Antagonique 2014 is the second vintage of this highly peculiar white wine from Priorat.
The wine is a Blanc de noirs, that is, it is made from red grapes vinified in order to produce a white wine. The blend is composed of 60% Grenache, 30% Carignan, and tiny portions of White Grenache, Trepat, Macabeo and Escanyavella.
This white wine produced by Les Cousins Marc & Adrià, two members of the distinguished Pérez family from Priorat, was aged for 4 months in used French oak barrels.
Les Cousins l'Antagonique is an utterly original, unexpectedly cool white wine from the-sometimes-imposing Priorat region.
Very bright, clean, straw yellow colour with some greenish tinges.
Vivid aromas of white roses, jasmine and camomile, alongside notes of ripe pears and apples. On the background, remembrances of blackberries, raw almonds, biscuits, spices and a dash of minerality.
Fresh and smooth, with a substantial body and a refreshing acidity. Flowers, ripe white fruit, aromatic herbs and deep mineral undertones. Long, complex finish.
