Product Description

Born in Gratallops, in the heart of Priorat, Lo Petit de la Casa is the entry-level Spanish red wine of the Trossos del Priorat winery

Made principally from Grenache, this red wine from Priorat is complemented with some Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Both varieties grow in the decomposed slate, llicorella soils that bring the wines from Priorat their distinctive minerality.

Harvested by hand, the grapes were destemmed and cold-soaked in order to extract aromas and colour from the grape skins.

After fermenting in stainless steel tanks, the wine was transferred into 225-litre French oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 12 months.

Finally, Lo Petit de la Casa 2021 was bottled and aged for some months in the cellar prior to its commercial release.

Pair this Crianza red wine with meat dishes.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The wine Lo Petit de la Casa is medium purple with a garnet rim.

Some toasted and spicy notes, evolving into aromatic herbs, aromas of black and red fruit and deep mineral suggestions. This is a nicely balanced blend of Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.

On the palate, this wine of bodega Trossos del Priorat shows a mineral character that balances the notes of red and black fruit with a refreshing quality. Hints of spices and Mediterranean garrigue, with a crisp acidity, and a long finish.

Our personal opinion

A young, reasonably-priced Priorat which nevertheless remains true to its terroir. Quite good!!
