Details

The Luberri-Familia Monje Amestoy winery makes Luberri Cosecha from vines planted on the lowest banks of the Ebro River, at an altitude of 400 metres above sea level.

This cheerful Spanish red wine from DOCa Rioja is made from 95% Tempranillo and 5% Viura. Mixing red grapes with a tiny amount of white grapes is a typical procedure in Rioja, because it brings freshness to the final wine.

After the harvest, the grapes first underwent a carbonic maceration process for 8 to 10 days, and then they were fermented in stainless steel tanks.

Fresh and young, Luberri Cosecha 2022 is a classic among carbonic maceration reds from La Rioja.

Appearance

The wine Luberri Cosecha is medium ruby with a violet rim.

Nose

Expressive and fresh, this Tempranillo with a touch of Viura smells of ripe red fruit, black fruit, strawberry yogurt, aromatic herbs and cherry candies, aromas typically resulting from a carbonic maceration process.

Palate

This lively young red wine is light and agile, with a nice acidity and a fruit-forward character. Some lactic touches, and remembrances of strawberries and underbrush. This wine of bodega Luberri of the Monje Amestoy family, has a medium-long, pleasant finish.

Our personal opinion

The scintillating Luberri Cosecha 2022 is a good wine for laid-back soirees and informal meals.

Fizzy, sexy red. As the French say, to drink "sans chichichi ni tralala".
