A blend of Grenache, Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon, Maius Clàssic is produced in the DOQ Priorat by Bodega Maius Viticultors.
The vines grow in rocky and llicorella (slate) soils in an area called Barranc de la Bruixa, in the village of La Morera del Montsant.
Harvested by hand at their optimal ripening state, once in the cellar the grapes were destemmed, gently pressed and macerated for 3 days in stainless steel tanks. Alcoholic fermentation of this Priorat red wine lasted 20 to 25 days, with daily punch-downs and 2 overall pump-overs.
After that, the red wine Maius Clàssic 2015 was transferred into French oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 10 months.
We suggest that you decant this Crianza red wine 30 minutes before drinking.

Palate | Again, balance is the main feature of this wine of Bodega Maius Viticultors. Round tannins, great freshness and perfectly ripe fruit, with a mineral note and a long finish with some balsamic and floral remembrances. |
Our personal opinion | Pleasant and not lacking in complexity, Maius Clàssic 2015 is a little-known, worth exploring Priorat wine. |
