Produced following the traditional method, Maria Casanovas Gran Reserva is a complex and elegant Cava from Penedès.
Crafted following the traditional method, this Spanish sparkling wine is made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (40% each), complemented with the traditional Cava varieties: Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada.
Once alcoholic fermentation was completed, this Cava gran reserva was blended and bottled, after which it completed secondary fermentation.
Then Maria Casanovas Gran Reserva Brut Nature 2019 was aged for a minimum of 36 months before its release.
This blended organic Cava from bodega Maria Casanovas is extremely versatile versatile with regards to food pairings.
The Cava Maria Casanovas Gran Reserva Brut Nature is medium straw with some golden tinges.
The nose of this blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada is complex and intriguing. Notes of peach, white flowers, fine pastry, citrus and some lactic touches. In the background, this Cava gran reserva brut nature suggests remembrances of lees, tropical fruit and some mineral undertones.
Palate-coating and creamy, this sparkling wine from Cava Maria Casanovas has a vibrant acidity and some minuscule, well-integrated bubbles. Aromatic herbs, dry fruit, bone fruit, pastry and flowers. Long, complex finish.
