Reserve red wine from Rioja made from Tempranillo, Grenache, Graciano and Mazuelo, aged for 19 months in American oak barrels and for 24 months in the bottle.

The excellent Marqués de Murrieta Reserva Magnum comes in a size which is perfect for ageing it in our home cellar. As it is well known, the 1.5 litre bottle increases the longevity and quality of the wine.
The grapes come from the imposing Finca Ygay, a 300-hectare estate located at the heart of Rioja Alta, at altitudes between 320 and 485 metres above sea level, in an area with a Continental climate.
Separately harvested and vinified, the grapes were gently crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks with frequent punch-overs and pump-downs.
Then this reserve red wine from Rioja was aged for 19 months in 225-litre American oak barrels. Finally, the wine was aged for another 24 months in the cellar prior to its commercial release.
Decant Marqués de Murrieta Reseva Magnum 2014 a minimum of 30 minutes before drinking. Drink through 2030.
The wine Marqués de Murrieta Reserva Magnum has a medium-high cherry-coloured robe with a garnet rim.
Produced by Marqués de Murrieta, this classic Rioja blend shows a remarkable balance between notes of red fruit, liquor-infused black fruit, some spicy and balsamic nuances and a dash of coffee, liquorice and leather.
Smooth and elegant, showing a pure Rioja reserve red wine character, with plenty of freshness, a linear passage through the palate and an excellent balance. Balsam, toast, tobacco leaves, fine leather, underbrush and wild berries. Mild tannins and long, delicately bitter finish. As expected, this wine by Marqués de Murrieta shows a remarkable ageing potential.
