Red Wine Marqués de Riscal Gran Reserva 2013
Availability: In stock
Interestingly, the demanding 2013 vintage of this exceptional Gran Reserva is a single varietal Tempranillo.
Manually harvested and exactingly selected in October, the grapes were vinified in stainless steel tanks. After that, the barrel samples of this Rioja red wine were blended and then aged in French oak barrels for 36 to 42 months.
Finally, Marqués de Riscal Gran Reserva 2013 was aged for a futher 36 months in the cellar prior to its commercial release.
This is a wine that embodies the essence of La Rioja, one of the world's great wine regions.
This Gran Reserva red wine has a bright, clean cherry colour with a garnet rim. Marqués de Riscal Gran Reserva shows some russet tinges.
Intense and complex, this wine from Herederos de Marqués de Riscal exudes old Rioja nobility. Aromas of old wood, fine leather, undergrowth, Eastern spices, black fruit, toast, black truffles and vegetables.
Bold and round, this Gran Reserva from La Rioja has a crisp acidity and a great definition. Fruit and spices harmonize with a mineral and balsamic background. With room for growth and a great ageing potential, this is classicism at its best. Long, toasted finish.
|Our personal opinion||
