Product Description

Crafted by the Marqués de Riscal winery from vines over 80 years of age, Marqués de Riscal Gran Reserva is one of the most prestigious Spanish red wines from La Rioja.

The 2014 vintage of this exceptional Gran Reserva is a varietal Tempranillo.

Manually harvested in October and exactingly selected, the grapes were vinified in stainless steel tanks. After that, the barrel samples of this Rioja red wine were blended and then aged in French oak barrels for 32 months.

Finally, Marqués de Riscal Gran Reserva 2014 was aged for a futher 36 months in the cellar prior to its commercial release.

This is a wine that embodies the essence of La Rioja, one of the world's great wine regions.

Decant 1 hour before drinking.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The wine Marqués de Riscal Gran Reserva has a bright, clean cherry colour with a garnet rim.

Intense and complex, this varietal Tempranillo exudes old Rioja nobility. Aromas of old wood, fine leather, undergrowth, Eastern spices, black fruit, toast, black truffles and vegetables.

Bold and round, this Gran Reserva of Bodega Marqués de Riscal has a crisp acidity and great definition. Fruit and spices harmonize with a mineral and balsamic background. Textured and nuanced, with a long, toasted finish. Great ageing potential. This is classicism at its best.

Our personal opinion

Providing the rare chance to drink a varietal Tempranillo by Marqués de Riscal,  Marques de Riscal Gran Reserva 2014 is the embodiment of old-style elegance.
