Produced by the innovative Mas de Mancuso winery, this impressive Spanish white wine comes from the unlikeliest of places: DO Cariñena - a region in Aragón not to be confused with the grape variety of the same name.
A varietal Macabeo, this white wine from Aragón is sourced from over 60-year-old vineyards with slate soils situated at 670 metres of altitude, near the village of Almonacid de la Sierra.
Hand-picked and cold-macerated, the grapes were fermented in open stainless steel tanks. After that, the white wine Mas de Mancuso 2019 was aged in 500-litre French oak barrels for 16 months. It was bottled in February 2021.
Pair this Crianza red wine with oily fish and seafood rice recipes, white meat and soft cheeses.

Beautiful wine
I must confess I bought this wine because of the Parker review and I certainly don't regret it. This turned out to be something really special, a terroir-transparent, impressive white with real complexity.
