Red Wine Mas d'en Pol Barrica 2017

A blend of Grenache (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Syrah (20%), Mas d'en Pol Barrica is produced from 10 to 30 year old vineyards located on the outskirts of Vilalba dels Arcs, in the DO Terra Alta. The vines grow in clay-limestone soils with low levels of organic matter, in an area with an optimal sun exposure.
Traditionally vinified, this Spanish red wine was first macerated for 20 to 25 days, and then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After that, Mas d'en Pol Barrica 2017 of bodega Celler Xavier Clua was aged for 8 months in French oak barrels. Before hitting the market, it was aged for a further 12 months in the cellar.

The red wine Mas d'en Pol Barrica is medium ruby with a garnet rim.
This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Grenache suggests aromas of cranberries and mulberries, with hints of plums, spices, roasted coffee and a remembrance of green bell pepper.
This red wine of Celler Xavier Clua is fresh and yummy. Lively acidity, round tannins and long, gently smoky finish with some spicy and fruity remembrances
