Product Description

This interesting Spanish white wine is produced in Priorat. This is a region that, besides producing some bold, world-class red wines, also produces utterly characteristic, unconventional white wines.

A paradigmatic example, Més Ritme Blanc is made from a blend of 80-year-old White Grenache and 20-year-old Macabeo vineyards.

Both grow in the typical Priorat soils made from decomposed slate, known in the region as llicorella.

After a manual harvest, this white wine from Priorat produced by Acústic Celler, managed by Albert Jané, the grapes were cold macerated for 48 hours.

Then 70% of the wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks and the rest in new French oak barrels.

Once the process was completed, Més Ritme Blanc 2017 was aged on its lees for 11 months.

Production around 6,000 bottles.

Drink over the next 6-8 years. Decant 1 hour before drinking.

Additional Information
Additional Information

Bright and clean, Més Ritme Blanc has a straw yellow colour with some golden tinges.

Elegant and deep, this blend of White Grenache & Macabeo shows some prominent notes of white and yellow fruit, underpinned by remembrances of pastry, Mediterranean garrigue and sweet spices. On the background, this white wine by Acústic Celler displays an extremely seductive minerality that keeps the conversation going for as long as one wishes.

Precise and well-defined, this white wine by Albert Jané has an unmistakable character. Smooth and fresh, with a superb texture. Remembrances of fine lees, Mediterranean forest floor, flowers and white fruit. This white wine from Priorat has a lively acidity and a long, enticingly mineral finish.

Our personal opinion

I relish Priorat whites. I give this one 4 stars because it is still developing. I think it needs a good 4 years to reach the top.

Good Rythm
This white wine is quite different to the Priorat reds. Crisp and electric. However, the minerality has not been lost along the way. Good!!
