Product Description

One of the absolute best Cavas on the market, Clos Damiana Gran Reserva is only produced in exceptional vintages.

Crafted by the respected Celler Mestres, this Spanish sparkling wine is made from over 60-year-old vines planted in the best terroirs of the Penedès region.

Made from a traditional blend of 60% Xarel.lo, 20% Macabeo and 20% Parellada, after a careful vinification this Cava was fermented and aged on lees in barrels for a period of 12 months.

After that, this Cava Gran Reserva was bottled to complete secondary fermentation. Then it was aged for more than 140 months until its disgorgement.

This Brut Nature has a very limited production: only 3,291 bottles.

The enticing Mestres Clos Damiana Gran Reserva has a bright golden colour with some grey tinges and golden glints.


Complex and multilayered, this Brut Nature Gran Reserva perfectly harmonizes fruit, wood, and the tertiary aromas coming from its very long ageing. Sugar-coated fruit, citrus peel, vanilla, honey and candied almonds, punctutated by notions of aromatic herbs, smoke, patisserie, cinnamon and spices.


Fresh and creamy, this Cava Gran Reserva from Mestres has a bold passage through the palate and a remarkable structure. Extremely gentle, microscopic bubbles, and crisp acidity. Opulent notes of toast, citrus, white flowers, sugar-coated fruit, butter, Eastern spices and smoke. Clos Damiana Brut Nature has an extremely long, complex finish.

Wow! Mestres Clos Damiana Gran Reserva 2004 is an irresistible Catalan sparkling wine. It will make a dream pairing with, for instance, a herb-roast turkey.
