Cava Mestres Clos Nostre Senyor 2010
Availability: In stock
The supremely elegant character of Mestres Clos Nostre Senyor is due to several factors. First, this Brut Nature Cava produced by Cavas Mestres is made from old, over 50-year-old vineyards coming from a single estate.
Besides that, it is made principally from Xarel·lo, the grape which best expresses Penedès' terroir, judiciously blended with Macabeo and Parellada.
Lastly, after a meticulous harvest the three base wines of this Cava Gran Reserva were aged on their lees in barrels for a period of 10 months.
After that, Mestres Clos Nostre Senyor 2010 was bottled, completed secondary fermentation and was subsequently aged for over 100 months.
Finally, this Cava from Penedès was disgorged on the date printed on the back label.
Aerate the wine for some time before drinking.
Very limited production -around 3,000 bottles.
Appearance | The Cava Mestres Clos Nostre Senyor has a nice golden colour with some metallic glints. |

Nose | Extremely elegant, this Gran Reserva Premiun Cava suggests some notes of ripe white fruit, yellow fruit and citrus combined with some floral remembrances. The ageing in barrels and the subsequent ageing period in the bottle shows in some creamy, toasted and smokey notes. |
Palate | Profound and complex, with a silky texture and an effortless confidence. Clos Nostre Senyor de Mestres has an excellent acidity with some nicely integrated bubbles. The finish of this Cava from Penedès is long and creamy, with some toasted and mineral hints, and a remembrance of aromatic herbs and smoke. |
Our personal opinion | A classic Cava in the best sense of the term, Mestres Clos Nostre Senyor 2010 is a sparkler of remarkable quality and simply spectacular price. |
