Mestres Coquet Gran Reserva Brut Nature 2013 is a great Cava produced by the Mestres winery, one of the most ancient and prestigious wineries in Penedès.
Almost half of the grapes come from estate-owned vineyards over 50 years of age located in privileged places all over Penedès.
Vinified following the traditional Champenoise method, secondary fermentation took place in the bottle.
After that, this Catalan sparkling wine was aged for a period of 40 to 50 months.
Being a Brut Nature, no sugar was added to the wine after the disgorging operation.
Thus, all of the residual sugar (1.5 grams per litre) comes naturally from the fruit.

This Spanish brut nature cava Mestres Coquet has a pale yellow colour with some greenish tinges.
Rich aromas of white flowers, citrus, dry fruit and pastry, underpinned by notions of toast, figs, garrigue and balsam.
This Gran reserve brut nature cava shows remarkable class. Fresh and unctuous, with a creamy texture and caressing bubbles. Toast, French patisserie, Mediterranean garrigue, some earthy and smokey remembrances and a deliciously bitter touch. Exceptional acidity and long finish with remembrances of dry fruit and balsam.
