Details
The red wine Muga Crianza is a all-time Rioja classic produced by Bodegas Muga. Despite its name, it could well be considered a Reserva because of its long ageing process.
This elegant Spanish red wine from La Rioja is a blend of Tempranillo and Grenache, plus a 10% of Mazuela (Carignan) & Graciano.
After the harvest, the grapes were destemmed, macerated, and fermented in wooden tanks using indigenous yeasts. Then this Crianza red wine was aged for 22 months in 20% American and 80% French oak barrels built in the winery cooperage.
Finally, Muga Crianza 2020 was clarified with egg whites and aged for a further 9 months prior to its commercial release.
Decant this red wine from La Rioja 30 minutes before drinking.

This Rioja has all you would expect from a good red wine. Good aromas, stupendous palate, fresh and spicy and an intense finish.
