Product Description

Belonging to the DO Rueda, Bodegas Naia crafts Naia from estate-owned vineyards around 30 years of age.

The 2018 vintage of this Spanish white wine was substantially better than the previous one, as timely rainfalls alleviated the severe drought of 2017, allowing the Verdejo grapes to achieve an optimal ripening state.

To produce this Verdejo from Rueda, the grapes were first cold-macerated. Then 30% of the wine must was fermented in 10,000-litre French oak vats, and the rest in stainless steel tanks.

Both wines were then aged on its lees for 4 months, after which they were blended.

Drink Naia 2018 over the next 3 years.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The white wine Naia has a pale straw yellow colour with some greenish tinges.

Understated and elegant, this Verdejo from Rueda shows subtle, delicate notes of yellow fruit, bone fruit, herbs, fennel, balsam and fine lees.

Elegant and delicately unctuous, this white wine by Bodegas Naia has a very good acidity. Some spicy nuances, combined with bitter touches and hints of citrus, underbush, fennel and tropical fruit. Long finish.

Our personal opinion

Fresh and pleasant, Naia 2018 from Rueda pairs well with fish dishes and pasta.

Very good Verdejo. Pleasantly bitter, with good fruit and a solid body. Wonderful with creamy cheese.
