The small vineyards are located in the heart of Priorat, between the towns of El Lloar and Bellmunt, occupying the rugged terrain between the valley of Siurana river and the Montsant mountains.
The vines are located at an altitude over 250 meters, with a Mediterranean climate with continental characteristics; soils are poor in organic matter, and are basically constituted by black and red slate.
The harvest of Negre de Negres 2018 was done by hand. The winemaking began with a short pre-fermentation maceration to avoid excessive concentration. Fermented at a controlled temperature using indigenous yeasts, the wine was then aged for 15 months in French oak vats, and also in new and mostly 2nd year French oak barrels. During the process, the wine was drawn-off once. Finally, it was bottle with only a slight clarification.
Decant this red wine from Priorat a minimum of 1 hour before drinking.
The red wine Negre de Negres has a cherry red colour with some violet tinges.
This blend of Grenache, Carignan and Syrah has a fresh aromatic expression defined by a distinctive mineral character. Notes of ripe red and black fruit, combined with toasted nuances, spices and hints of thyme, rosemary and lavender; on the background, there is a touch of liquorice as well as some mineral remembrances, typical of Priorat.
Soft and gentle entrance. This Crianza red wine of Alfredo Arribas is defined by notes of black and red fruit, as well as by remembrances of sweet spices, coffee, and black chocolate. Silky and sweet tannins. Persistent and elegant finish with some creamy and smokey suggestions and a long, mineral aftertaste.

Right now, Negre de Negres 2018 from Priorat is already a deep and expressive wine. However, it will surely improve over the years, so it would be a good idea to store a couple of bottles to check its evolution.
