Details
The wine Ónra Blanc of Celler La Gravera is produced from 11.3 hectares of vineyards spread out over 14 different plots in DO Costers del Segre. The climate of the region is harsh, with very cold winters and extremely hot summers with long drought periods.
The 2021 vintage of this Spanish white wine is a blend of 81% White grenache and 19% Sauvignon Blanc. The winery currently follows biodynamic practices in all of its farming procedures.
Meticulously harvested, the grapes were brought to the cellar, selected twice, gently crushed, and cold-macerated for about 10 hours.
Then they were gently pressed, and the wine must was drawn off and transferred into stainless steel tanks. Then this white wine from Costers del Segre was fermented under low temperature for over a period of 14 days.
Finally, Ónra Blanc 2020 was aged for 4 months on its lees in those same tanks prior to its bottling with periodic stirrings.
Pair with creamy cheese, fish and pasta recipes.
