Cava Oriol Rossell Brut Nature Gran Reserva 2011

All of the grapes were hand selected and transferred to the Orioll Rossell winery in small 20 Kilogram boxes in less than 10 minutes. At the winery these grapes received a second selection process.
Then the selected grapes of this Cava from Penedès were then delicately pressed and only the best 55% of their grape must was used in this cava by Oriol Rossell. The grape varieties were separately vinified.
Alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel vats. Once the process was completed, the wine was aged for a time period that lasted between 30 and 48 months.
After its disgorgement each bottle was individually labeled with its specific date of disgorgement. There was no shipping liquor added to this cava. Thus, all of its sugar content is the residual sugar from the Xarel-lo and Macabeo grapes.
Bright, clean, creamy yellow-coloured body with some golden tinges.
Notes of pastry, toasted nuts, white flowers, aromatic herbs and citrus, combined with remembrances of fine lees and some creamy nuances.
Smooth and fresh, displaying refined notes of patisserie, orange and lemond rind, toast and dry fruit. Very good acidity, and a long, uplifting finish.
