Product Description

Produced by Bodega Tobía in La Rioja, Óscar Tobía Reserva is made principally from Tempranillo, complemented with a touch of  Graciano.

The Tempranillo grapes come from three plots that grow under an Atlantic climate in La Rioja Alta. As for the Graciano, they come from 20-year-old vines grown under a Mediterranean climate.

The grapes were first cold-macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks.

Then Oscar Tobía Reserva 2015 underwent malolactic fermentation and was aged for 24 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels.

The wine was not filtered or stabilized prior to its bottling. Finally, this Spanish red wine was aged for a further 15 months in the cellar before its release.

Production of 57,000 bottles. Decant 30 minutes before drinking.

Drink this reserve red wine from now until 2025.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The red wine Óscar Tobía Reserva has a deep, bright cherry-coloured robe with a garnet rim.

This expressive reserve red wine from La Rioja Alta shows some prominent aromas of black fruit, coffee and tobacco, combined with remembrances of menthol, underbush and spices over a mineral background.

Very pleasant, fruity, and with a distinctive mineral character. The wood of this blend of Tempranillo & Graciano is very well integrated, and the fruit combines excellently with suggestions of spices, balsam and undergrowth. This Reserva by Bodega Tobía has a crisp acidity, some crunchy tannins and a long, smooth finish.

Our personal opinion

Always impeccable, Oscar Tobía Reserva 2015 pairs very well with hearty dishes. Besides, this wine has a good ageing potential.
