Product Description

Coming from DO Ribera del Duero Pagos de Anguix Costalara is a varietal Spanish red wine produced by bodega Pagos de Anguix, a member of J&C Prime Brands, the corporate group of bodega Juvé y Camps from Penedès,

Made only from Tinto Fino, or Tempranillo, the grapes come from estate-owned vineyards 20 to 30 years of age, planted in clay-limestone soils at over 800 metres of altitude.

Traditionally vinified, the grapes were macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature. After that, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was transferred into French and American oak barrels.

Finally, Pagos de Anguix Costalara 2019 was aged for 12 months before being bottled.

We suggest decanting this Crianza red wine 30 minutes before drinking.

Pait with game dishes and hearty meat recipes.

Additional Information

The red wine Pagos de Anguix Costalara is deep ruby with a reddish rim.

This varietal Tinto Fino conveys a well-defined varietal character. Blackberries, black currants and plums, with vanilla, white pepper and tobacco, with subtle mineral and balsamic remembrances.

Full-bodied and well-balanced, this wine from bodega Pagos de Anguix is fruit-driven and delicately spicy, with yummy tannins, a crisp acidity and a very long finish.

Our personal opinion

An well-rounded Ribera, Pagos de Anguix Costalara 2019 is a nicely crafted, suggestive red wine.
