Red Wine Palacios Remondo La Montesa 2018 Magnum
Availability: In stock
Made principally from Grenache, this Spanish red wine is complemented with some Tempranillo. The grapes were sourced from over 25-year-old vineyards located in the town of Alfaro. Located at an altitude of 550 metres above sea level, the vines are planted on limestone and ferrous-clay soils covered with pebble stones.
Hand-harvested, destemmed and gently crushed, first the grapes were cold macerated, and then they were fermented in stainless steel tanks with periodic punch-downs and pump-overs for 23 days. Malolactic fermentation took place in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year 85% French and 15% American oak barrels. After that, Palacios Remondo La Montesa Magnum 2018 was aged for 12 months in the barrels. Finally, it was gently clarified before bottling.
Aerate this Crianza red wine from La Rioja 30 minutes before drinking.
The red wine Palacios Remondo La Montesa Mágnum is bright ruby with a garnet rim.
This nose of this blend of Grenache and Tempranillo is intense and evocative. Discreet aromas of red berries, pomegranates and quince, along with notes of roses, carnations and sage. Some touches of wet earth and underbrush,underpinned by hints of spices and toast.
This magnum red wine from Bodegas Palacios Remondo is savoury and velvety, with excellent definition and balance. Notes of cherries, grapefruit rind, spices and rosemary. Perfect acidity, ripe tannins and persistent, elegant finish.
|Our personal opinion||
The smooth Palacios Remondo La Montesa 2018 Magnum is a source of raw pleasure that, if that were not enough, will improve in the bottle for several years.
