Red Wine Parajes de Callejo 2016
Availability: In stock
A varietal Tinto Fino (aka Tempranillo), Parajes de Callejo is produced in the DO Ribera del Duero from organically farmed vines. They are planted at an altitude of 850 metres, in sandy-limestone soils, in an area with a harsh Continental climate.
The grapes were picked by hand and meticulously selected. Traditionally vinified, this Spanish red wine was fermented with indigenous yeasts. After that, this Ribera del duero red wine was aged for 15 months in French oak barrels.
Finally, Parajes de Callejo 2016 was bottled and further aged for some time before irs commercial release.
We suggest that you decant this Crianza red wine of Bodega Félix Callejo 30 minutes before drinking.
The red wine Parajes de Callejo has a very bright, clean crimson colour with a violet rim.
Expressive nuances of aromatic herbs, underbush and spices, combined with hints of blueberries, typical of a Tinto Fino (or Tempranillo), alongside nuances of vegetables, balsam and some mineral undertones.
Bold and palate-coating, this wine of Bodega Félix Callejo exhibits a solid body and a refreshing, crisp acidity. Texture is velvety, and the wine displays nuances of liquorice, spices, menthol, black fruit, spices and mineral. Long, delicately smokey finish.
