This is the new vintage of Pedrabona, produced by Josep Grau Viticultor in DOQ Priorat .
The grapes were sorted from vineyards with slate soils located in Gratallops and Pla de Falset. The low-yielding vines, 25 years old on average, are tended following the guidelines of organic farming.
Typically, the 2022 vintage of this Spanish red wine is a blend of Grenache and Carignan. The grapes were hand-harvested and selected on site and in the cellar. Alcoholic fermentation was carried out in 2,500-litre Stockinger Austrian oak vats.
After that, Pedrabona 2022 was aged for 14 months in the vats and in 300-litre French oak barrels. The wine was not filtered or clarified before bottling.
Decant this Priorat red wine 1 hour before drinking.
