Product Description

This is the new vintage of Pedrabona, produced by Josep Grau Viticultor in DOQ Priorat .

The grapes were sorted from vineyards with slate soils located in Gratallops and Pla de Falset. The low-yielding vines, 25 years old on average, are tended following the guidelines of organic farming.

Typically, the 2022 vintage of this Spanish red wine is a blend of Grenache and Carignan. The grapes were hand-harvested and selected on site and in the cellar. Alcoholic fermentation was carried out in 2,500-litre Stockinger Austrian oak vats.

After that, Pedrabona 2022 was aged for 14 months in the vats and in 300-litre French oak barrels. The wine was not filtered or clarified before bottling.

Decant this Priorat red wine 1 hour before drinking.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The red wine Pedrabona is medium purple with a reddish rim.

Expressive and lively, this blend of Grenache and Carignan carries aromas of blueberries, ripe cherries and bitter cocoa, underpinned by some spicy and balsamic notes, some toasted nuances and a seductive minerality.

This wine of Josep Grau Viticultor is energetic and transparent, withs aromas of black fruit, liquorice and violets, a lively acidity and some powdery tannins. Long finish with some dim mineral overtones and intimations of flowers and roadside herbs.
