Cava Pere Rexach Baqués Gran Reserva 2013

This limited edition Spanish sparkling wine was crafted from a coupage of Macabeo, Xarel·lo, Parellada, and a small percentage of Pinot Noir, all of which were cultivated in the Rexach Baqués winery´s own estate.
Crafted following the traditional method, it was subsequently aged in the underground cellars of the winery (dating from 1910) for a minimum of 54 months at a constant temperature of 14°C.
The cava Pere Rexach Baqués Gran Reserva 2010 is presented in numbered bottles and its production is limited: less than 6,000 bottles.
With a very clean appearance, Pere Rexach Baqués Gran Reserva has a pale yellow-coloured body with golden edges.
Delicate and elegant Gran Reserva Brut. The notes of the long aging (creamy, nuts, pastries, toast) are perfectly assembled with the ripe white fruit. A subtle citrus background just balances the whole.
Creamy palate with ripe fruit and notes of the long ageing with some nice memories of pastries and nuts. Bubbles are well integrated and acidity is very good. Cava by Rexach Baqués has a long finish with a good persistence, leaving toast sensations and a smoked aftertaste.
