This elegant Spanish red wine wine is produced by the Castillo de Perelada winery.
It is made exclusively from the Finca Malaveïna vineyards, a scenic estate with red clayey soils that offers incomparable views of the eastern Pyrenees and the Mediterranean sea.
Harvested by hand and meticulously selected, the grapes were cold-macerated before fermentation. Then this red wine from L'Empordà was drawn off and aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels from Allier. Finally, it was aged for some months in the cellar before its release
Decant Finca Malaveïna 2017 from L'Empordà half an hour before you drink it.
The single estate red wine Finca Malaveïna has a clean, bright cherry colour with a purple rim.
This expressive estate wine from l'Empordà begins exhibiting some prominent notes or red and black fruit, sweet spices, vanilla, clove and cocoa. As this of blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Grenache opens, there appear remembrances of Mediterranean herbs, balsam, green bell peppers and dry earth.
Bold and palate-coating, but never overpowering. This Crianza red wine of Castillo Perelada has a crisp acidity, excellent balance and mild tannins. Menthol, wild berries, aromatic herbs and some earthy notions over a smokey-mineral background. Long, elegant finish.
