Red Wine Pesquera Crianza 2021
Availability: In stock
The best-known wine of the late Alejandro Fernández, the wine Pesquera Crianza is an emblem of modern Ribera del Duero. Just for the record, the Tinto Pesquera wines rose to stardom in 1982, when Robert Parker compared them to Château Petrus.
This varietal Spanish red wine is made solely from Tempranillo, Mr. Fernández's variety of choice.
Traditionally vinified, the grapes were fermented without temperature control and macerated for over a long period of time.
Then, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was transferred into American oak barrels, where it was aged for 12 months.
Finally, the red wine Pesquera Crianza 2021 was aged for a further 6 months in the cellar prior to its release.
Aerate this Crianza red wine 30 minutes before drinking.
Appearance | The red wine Pesquera Crianza is medium purple with a bluish rim. |

Nose | Intense and expressive, this varietal Tempranillo feels quite young. Lively aromas of blue and blackberries, combined with wooden notions of balsam, menthol, coco, sweet spices, cocoa, coffee and toffee. Complex and ever-changing. |
Palate | This wine of the Tinto Pesquera winery is medium-bodied, well-balanced and quite fresh, with flavours of dark chocolate, blackcurrants, balsam and spices and a very long, savoury finish. |
Our personal opinion | An all-time classic, the wine Pesquera Crianza 2021 will pair best with a Castilian "cochinillo" (roast suckling pig). Truly a match made in heaven. |
