Details
The white wine Plana d’en Jan Bon Jan Blanc is made from three Catalan white varieties: Xarel·lo, White Grenache and Macabeo, sourced from 4 vineyards around 30 years old located in the heart of DO Penedès.
Produced by bodega Plana d’en Jan, a small winery which specializes in microvinifications of singular parcels, the grapes were hand-harvested in 15 kg boxes and carefully selected before being destemmed.
After that, this Spanish white wine was cold-macerated at 10ºC for 24 hours before fermenting spontaneously under controlled temperature with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks.
Finally, the white wine Plana d’en Jan Bon Jan Blanc 2020 was bottled and kept in the cellar for some years before hitting the market.
The production of this organic white wine from Penedès is very limited. Around 1,000 bottles.
