Details
The red wine Proelio Viñedos Viejos de Garnacha is sourced from 80-year-old Grenache vines planted in 18 little plots scattered across the Alto Najerilla subzone of DOCa Rioja, in the village of Cárdenas, at an average height of 600 metres.
Hand-harvested and meticulously selected, 60% of the grapes were destemmed and 40% were vinified whole bunch. This varietal Spanish red wine from Bodegas Palacios Vinos de Finca-Proelio was spontaneously fermented in wooden vats with native yeasts.
After that, this red wine from La Rioja was aged for 12 months in 4,000-litre French oak vats and 3,000-litre oblong diposits before being bottled.
Finally, Proelio Viñedos Viejos de Garnacha 2018 was aged for some time in the bottle before hitting the market.
Pair this Crianza red wine with meat recipes, goat cheeses and white fish recipes.
