Details
Made mostly from Tempranillo, with a droplet of Syrah and Merlot, Protos Clarete is produced from estate-owned vineyards scattered over the Ribera del Duero region.
The harvest, which took place earlier than usual, was carried out at dusk. Once in the cellar, the grape bunches were destemmed, and then this Spanish rosé wine was macerated for 15 hours with the skins.
After that, this young rosé wine of Bodegas Protos was drawn-off and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Appropriately, Protos Clarete 2020 was not aged in oak to preserve its berryish freshness.
This is a great wine for al fresco dining.
