The wine Pura Vida Negre is produced by Cellers Underground. Located in Costers del Segre, this is the joint project of Joan Soler and Richard Sanz, two winemakers that also work at wineries such as Lafou, Abadal and Menade.
Separately vinified according to the variety, once in the cellar the grapes were refrigerated during a whole night and subsequently fermented in stainless steel tanks with short pump-overs. Once malolactic fermentation was completed, the wine was blended and aged for 12 months in 2nd and 3rd year oak barrels.
After that, Pura Vida Negre 2016 was added a 15% wine coming from the next vintage before it was finally bottled.

The wine Pura Vida Negre has an intense, dark garnet colour.
Deeply mineral and very expressive, Pura Vida carries loads of red fruit and notes of cocoa and tobacco, alongside notes of violets and balsam.
Mouthful and expansive, this red wine by Cellers Underground is nevertheless quite fresh. Fruit-drive, with lively spicy nuances and fresh balsamic tips. This red wine from Costers del Segre has a well-balanced acidity and a long, savoury finish.
