Belonging to the Turons de Raimat product collection, which showcases the qualities of bodega Raimat's best vineyards, Raimat Turons de Vallcorba is produced in DO Costers del Segre, Catalonia's westernmost wine producing area.
A varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, the grapes were hand harvested at dawn and cold macerated before fermenting with the skins in stainless steel diposits under controlled temperature.
During the process, frequent pump-overs were performed to induce the extraction of aromatic compounds. After that, this Spanish red wine was macerated with the skins and transferred into tanks to complete malolactic fermentation.
Then the red wine Raimat Turons de Vallcorba 2018 went into big French oak vats - in order to minimize oak impact - and it was aged for a period of 20 months.
Terroir-driven and seductive, this red wine from Costers del Segre will make a great match with roast recipes, game dishes and chocolate desserts.
The red wine Raimat Turons de Vallcorba is medium purple with a violet rim.
Clean, lively and expansive, this varietal Cabernet Sauvignon conveys aromas of forest floor and aromatic herbs, with pristine notes of black fruit and a tad of spices and balsam.
Spacious, lifted and medium-bodied, this red wine from bodega Raimat (a brand of Codorniu) has a steely acidity and an Atlantic, Loire-ish character. Dark chocolate and cassis, with some floral remembrances and a long, balsamic finish.
