Product Description

We present the new vintage of Rejón, one of the most valued wines of our portfolio and an all-time favourite of our customers.

Produced by OroWines, this reserve red wine is a single varietal, single estate Tempranillo from Castilla y León.

The grapes come from extremely low-yielding vines which, amazingly, are over 130 years of age.

Harvested by hand, they were fermented and macerated in 225-litre French oak barrels.

Then this Spanish red wine produced by Bodegas Tritón completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for a period of 20 months, all in the same barrels.

Production of this Tempranillo from Toro is around 8,000 bottles.

Drink Rejón 2015 until 2030.

Decant a minimum of 3 hours before you drink it.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The red wine Rejón has a bright, dense, high cherry-coloured robe with a garnet rim.

The nose of this old-vines Tempranillo has a mindboggling intensity, showing extremely pure and intense notions of red and black fruit, alongside notes of spices and balsam, and suggestive hints of earth, black truffles, tree bark, underbush, blue flowers and some deep mineral nuances. This wine by Bodegas Tritón is really impressive

Bold, powerful and supremely deep, this red wine from Zamora is not overpowering or bombastic. Texture is both meaty and smooth and the wine is extremely deep and has plenty of room for growth. Blackcurrants, undergrowth, liquorice, lavender, balsam, flowers, a panoply of Eastern spices and a mighty mineral background. Tense acidity, marvelous tannic structure and neverending finish.

Our personal opinion

A truly exceptional, one-of-a-kind wine, Rejón 2015 is the perfect companion for hearty meat dishes.

Astoundingly deep, super-concentrated and immensely appealing. Truly a Castilian Grand Cru.

Full-bodied red wine, absolutely fantastic. The taste of a meaty wine with a great persistence.
It is an ideal wine to accompany a good piece of red meat.
A really great discovery!
