Red Wine Roda I Reserva 2015
Availability: In stock
The 2015 vintage was an early and irregular one. Harvest was completed in the first week of October.
After an extremely meticulous and selective harvest, this red wine from La Rioja was fermented in wooden vats with indigenous yeasts.
After that, Roda I Reserva 2015 was aged for 16 months in 50% new and 50% 2nd year French oak barrels.
Finally, this reserva red wine was aged for a further 20 months in the bottle before its commercial release.
Decant 1 hour before drinking.
The Spanish red wine Roda I Reserva has a deep cherry colour with a purple rim.
A fresh and supremely elegant nose, with a peculiarly Atlantic twist. Intrincate and understated, this blend of Tempranillo and Graciano smells of raspberries and blackcurrants, with some complex mineral undertones, delicate nuances of cocoa, Havanna cigars and Moroccan leather, alongside aromas of spices and underbrush.
Smooth, well-balanced, truly an iron fist in a velvet glove. Spicy and balsamic nuances are extremely subtle, tannins are silky and acidity is phenomenal. This Reserva from La Rioja has a fruit of the purest quality, and the wine exudes a real sense of terroir. Long finish with remembrances of underbrush, tree bark, blueberries and forest floor.
