Product Description

Produced by Vinyes Domènech, Rosat de Mitjanit is a varietal Hairy Grenache Spanish rosé wine. The grapes, incidentally, come from former Cabernet Sauvignon grapevines, grafted in 2011.

Belonging to the DO Montsant, the organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards were meticulously harvested in late September. Once in the celler, they were kept at a temperature of 2 to 4ºC, destemmed, gently pressed, drawn-off, and fermented with indigenous yeasts.

After that, this rosé wine from Montsant was aged for 5 months on its lees. Finally, Rosat de Mitjanit 2019 was gently filtered and bottled.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The rosé wine Rosat de Mitjanit has a tangerine colour with an orangeish rim.

Initially reminiscent of white and red flowers, this varietal Hairy Grenache soon suggests aromas of red fruit and bone fruit, with notes of aromatic herbs and licorice, as well as a salty note.

Smooth and complex, this rosé wine of Celler Vinyes Domènech is fruit-driven, delicately warm and meatier than your usual rosé. Remembrances of pomegranate, red apples and roses, with a dash of aromatic herbs and a mineral finish.

Our personal opinion

A bold Hairy Grenache from Montsant, the rosé wine Rosat de Mitjanit 2019 will pair excellently with Thai food.

bold rosé
Not a Provence rosé, that's for sure. Deeper and more structured, it needs food.
