Red Wine Salomé 2019
Availability: Out of stock
Produced by Josep Grau viticultor, Salomé is the winemaker's homage to a 90-year-old lady who had the dream of making a wine from her own vineyard.
The vines, some of which are over 70 years old, grow in the typical slate soils present both in Montsant and in the neighbouring Priorat.
Traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks, Salomé 2019 was aged for 7 months in 2nd and 3rd year French oak barrels.
Decant this Crianza red wine 30 minutes before drinking. Pair with stews and rice and meat dishes.
The wine Salomé has a bright, high cherry-coloured robe with a violet rim.
This blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon is deep and intense. Aromas of ripe black fruit, laurel, pepper and spices, intertwined with aromas of balsam, coffee, toffee, undergrowth and aromatic herbs over a mineral background.
Complex and bold, this wine of Josep Grau Viticultor has a round, pleasant body and a remarkable depth. The balsamic and mineral notions prevail, nicely underpinned by remembrances of red and black fruit. This Crianza red wine has some ripe tannins, well-balanced acidity and long, balsamic finish.
