Product Description

Señorío de Otazu 2009 is a red wine produced by the Señorío de Otazu winery from a blend of Tempranillo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The wine is made from vines located in the region of Pamplona, belonging to the northern Spanish province of Navarre.

Harvested by hand at dusk, once in the cellar the grapes were cold-macerated for over a week.

Then, this red wine produced in the Pago de Otazu DO was aged for a period of 16 months in new Allier French oak barrels.

Finally, it was further aged for 36 months in the cellar.

Señorio de Otazu 2009, of which less than 20,000 bottles were produced, is a wine that, properly stored, will improve in the bottle for the next 7-10 years.

Bright, clean, high cherry-coloured robe with a ruby rim.


Clean, fresh notes of red berries, spices and balsam, punctuated by remembrances of freshly ground coffee, fine leather, cedar, vanilla, dry earth and mineral.


Mature and harmonious, the wine is round, pleasant and velvety-bodied. Perfectly integrated notes of fruit, earth, balsam and toast, combined with a very good acidity and ripe, savoury tannins. Delicate, long, evocative finish.
