Organic red wine from Montsant. Grenache & Carignan aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.
Availability: In stock
This is the new vintage of Serè, a young Spanish red wine produced in the DO Montsant.
Aged between 10 and 40 years, the organically farmed vines grow in soils composed of clay, limestone and slate. They are located in the municipalities of Marçà and Capçanes, at altitudes between 250 and 300 meters above sea level.
Once vinification was completed, the Celler Vendrell-Rived rounded off Serè 2018 with a brief ageing in French oak barrels for a period of 6 months.
This is both substantial and easy-to-drink red wine from Montsant.
The wine Serè has an attractive cherry red coloured body with a violet hue.
This young red wine from the Vendrell-Rived winery exhibits some fresh and expressive aromas of ripe red fruits, spices and toast, typical of a blend of Grenache and Carignan briefly aged in oak.
With a smooth entrance onto the palate, this oak red wine has a pleasant passage and an excellent acidity. Wild berries, a touch of garrigue and a spicy fleck. This wine from Montsant has a pleasant, slightly mineral finish.
