Details

An interesting Spanish red wine from the enchanting island of Mallorca, Ses Nines Negre is made from Manto Negro, Callet and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The grapes come from vines grown clay-limestone soils rich in iron, locally known as call vermell.

Produced by Celler Tianna Negre following high winemaking standards, the grapes were macerated for 5 days, and then fermented in stainless steel tanks with daily pump-overs.

After that, Ses Nines Negre 2019 from DO Binissalem Mallorca was blended and transferred into French oak barrels and aged for 6 months.

This red wine from Mallorca will pair nicely with cold meats.

Appearance

The wine Ses Nines Negre is medium ruby with a violet rim.

Nose

Lively aromas of blackberries, plums and blueberries, punctuated by mild toasted notes. On the background, this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Manto Negro and Callet  suggests some notions of aromatic herbs, laurel, pepper and chinese ink.

Palate

Pleasant and meaty, this red wine from Celler Tianna Negre has a velvety body and a smooth passage through the palate. Very good acidity, ripe tannins and medium, fruity finish.

Our personal opinion

Well-crafted and pleasant, Ses Nines Negre 2019 is an utterly Mediterranean red wine from Majorca.
