Red Wine Sierra Cantabria Reserva 2013
Availability: In stock
The wine Sierra Cantabria Reserva is produced by the prestigious Eguren family from over 30-year-old vines located in the town of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, La Rioja
A single varietal Tempranillo, the vineyards of this Spanish red wine are farmed with minimal intervention techniques and integrated production.
The grapes were manually harvested and carefully selected. Once in the facilities of the Sierra Cantabria winery, they were destemmed and fermented using indigenous yeasts with periodic pump-overs.
After that, this reserve red wine was macerated for 14 days and subsequently aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels, 20% new and 80% used ones. The wine was drawn off every 4 months.
Finally, Sierra Cantabria 2013 was further aged for a minimum of 24 months in the cellar before its release.
Aerate 30 minutes before drinking.
The wine Sierra Cantabria Reserva has a bright, high cherry-coloured robe with a garnet rim.
This Tempranillo from Rioja is quite intense. Notes of ripe red fruit, elegantly balanced with notes stemming from the oak ageing, such as toast, spices, tobacco, pepper, vanilla and clove.
Intense, well-structured and lush, this reserva by Sierra Cantabria has some ripe, velvety tannins and a very good acidity. Red fruit, violets, dry earth and spices. Long, elegant finish with some toasted and earthy remembrances.
