Siós Brut Rosé Reserva Pinot Noir 2013 is a rosé sparkling wine crafted from vines grown in the northern Catalonian region of Costers del Segre.
Meticulously harvested, once in the cellar the grape bunches where kept cool for two days in order to avoid spontaneous fermentation. Pressing of the grapes was extremely gentle.
After that, this Spanish rosé sparkling wine by the Costers del Sió winery was fermented at a controlled temperature. Part of the wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks, and the rest completed the process in 300-litre French oak barrels.
Then this Pinot Noir wine was bottled, after which it underwent secondary fermentation. Finally, it was aged for 18 months in the cellar before its release.
This Spanish Pinot Noir has a limited production of 4,000 bottles.
Very bright, clean, pale rosy colour with some orange tinges.
Fresh notes of wild strawberries, yoghurt, english cream, some herbal notions, and aromas of dry fruit.
Pleasant and well-structured. Delicious touches of tipe red fruit, orange rind, pistachio, pastry and butter. Tiny bubbles, perfectly integrated in the wine, crisp acidity and long, complex finish.
