Coming from a single vineyard, Pla del Molí, the grapes were picked by hand in mid August. Once in the cellar, they were refrigerated for two days in order to avoid spontaneous fermentation. Pressing of the Pinot Noir grapes was extremely gentle.
After that, this rosé sparkling wine was fermented at a controlled temperature. Part of the wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks, and the rest completed the process in 300-litre French oak barrels.
Then the wine was bottled, after which Siós Brut Rosé Reserva Pinot Noir 2017 underwent secondary fermentation and was aged for 18 months. The disgorgement date is printed on the back label.
Only 4,000 bottles produced.
The wine Siós Brut Rosé Reserva Pinot Noir is pale rosy with some orange tinges.
This varietal Pinot Noir sparkling wine conveys some fresh notes of wild strawberries, yoghurt, english cream, some herbal notions, and aromas of dry fruit.
This is a pleasant and well-structured Brut reserva rosé. Delicious touches of tipe red fruit, orange rind, pistachio, pastry and butter. This sparkler from bodega Costers del Sió has some tiny bubbles, a crisp acidity and a long, complex finish with some berry-ish and herbal remembrances.
