A single varietal Tinta de Toro, it is made from young, 15-year-old vines planted at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level on soils composed of limestone and rocks. The plantes are farmed following the guidelines of organic agriculture.
After a manual harvest, the grapes were cold-macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Then half of the wine Terra d'Uro La Enfermera 2016 was aged in the tanks and the other half was aged in French and American oak barrels for 4 months.
Drink this red wine from Toro until 2022.
The red wine Terra d'Uro La Enfermera has a bright ruby colour with a violet rim.
Expressive and intense, this varietal Tinta de Toro is defined by aromas of ripe black fruit, vivid notions of spices and liquorice, a hint of toast and some remembrances of aromatic herbs.
This wine by the Terra d'Uro winery is juicy and meaty. Plums, blackberries and some spicy remembrances. Well-balanced, with a fresh acidity, some ripe tannins and a medium, pleasant finish.
