White Wine Terras Gauda 2021
Availability: In stock
Coming from DO Rías Baixas, Terras Gauda is the flagship wine of Bodegas Terras Gauda, one of Galicia's most prestigious wineries.
Made principally from Albariño, which brings structure and a flavourful character, this Spanish white wine is complemented with Caíño Blanco and Loureiro, two native varieties that bring acidity and tension to the wine. All of them are over 25 years of age. They all come from vines planted in the O'Rosal area.
Each variety was separately harvested and vinified. All of them underwent a cold-soaking process and were fermented at a low temperature in stainless steel tanks using only indigenous yeasts.
At the end of the process, Terras Gauda 2021 was blended, stabilized, filtered and bottled.
Drink this white wine from Rías Baixas with fish and shrimp dishes.
Appearance | The white wine Terras Gauda is pale yellow with greenish tinges. |
---|---|
Nose | Impressive display of aromas. This blend of Albariño, Caíño Blanco and Loureiro smells of pears, pineapple, citrus, peaches, orange rind and mango, nuanced by some balsamic and mentholated notion. On the background, there is a noticeable mineral beat. |
Palate | With a substantial volume and a smooth, textured body, this young white wine from bodega Terras Gauda carries some flavours of almonds, flowers, passion fruit and a touch of honey. Tense acidity, great freshness and long, creamy finish. |
Our personal opinion | Intense, full of local character and easy to drink, Terras Gauda 2021 is an excellent Galician white wine. |
