Traditionally blended with Tempranillo because of its high acidity, the Graciano grape has a character of its own that makes it suitable for producing highly interesting single varietal wines. Coming from vineyards located in Aldeanueva de Ebro, Rioja Baja, at an altitude of 370 metres above sea level, the vines grow in clay soils that rest on gravel beds.
The grapes were harvested, destemmed and pre-macerated in stainless steel tanks. After that, this red wine from La Rioja was fermented at a controlled temperature and transferred into new and 2n year Hungarian oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 16 months. To preserve its varietal qualities, this Reserva red wine was not filtered prior to its bottling.
This wine opens tight, so we suggest that you decant Tobía Graciano 2015 1 hour before drinking.

The red wine Tobía Graciano has a high garnet robe with a violet rim.
Very expressive, this Reserva red wine from Bodega Tobía suggests some aromas of black currant, cranberries and cassis, alongside notes of black chocolate, clove, pepper and menthol. Slight hints of vanilla, cinnamon and flowers, ending with some mineral overtones.
A great expression of the Graciano grape, this Rioja red wine has a remarkable acidity, good grip and a great freshness. Notes of ripe black fruit, some lilac remembrances, sweet spices such as clove and cinnamon and a long finish with mint chocolate, After-Eight remembrances.
