The composition of Tocat de l'Ala is complemented by a small percentage of Syrah coming from 20-year-old vineyards.
Traditionally vinified, this red wine from L'Empordà was briefly aged in French oak barrels for a brief period of 4 months.
All in all, Tocat de l'Ala 2017 succeeds in showing the lighter, more cheerful side of the old wine region of Empordà, Dalí's territory.
Drink until 2022.
The red wine Tocat de l'Ala has a clean, bright, medium high cherry-coloured robe with a garnet rim.
Notes of spices, red berries, plums, blackberries, and Mediterranean herbs, which clearly point to a blend of Grenache and Carignan, with a touch of vanilla, toast and dry thyme. On the background, there are some aromas of black olives and chocolate, typical of Syrah.
The blend shows a great balance. Cocoa, liquorice, clove, wild berries, and some deep mineral undertones. This red wine from Coca i Fitó & Roig Parals has some ripe tannins, a good acidity and fresh, delicately spicy finish.

The juicy and drinker-friendly Tocat de l'Ala 2017 is one of the best values produced in L'Empordà in recent years.
